A new assignment asking to create a ‘propaganda’ poster reflecting a particular side of an argument. I chose to represent the Chinese internet censoring program which has undermined freedom of speech in the country, behind the ‘Great Firewall of China’.

This Programme is somewhat of a continuation from the Grahame Sydney publication for Wellington City Gallery. The idea was for us to use similar design or elements from the the publication, and continue it through this piece. The City Gallery was recently refurbished, leading me to trying something new for their identity. I brought forward my minimal use of the typeface Gotham from the publication and used it for the branding of City Gallery. Much like Christchurch City Gallery and the red they use for their publications and documents, I used yellow and black for Wellington’s.

This piece is a hypothetical quarterly publication design for Wellington City Gallery, with an exhibition of Grahame Sydney’s work as the central focus of the design and aesthetic.
This is a partial redo of the intro to the ‘The Pink Panther’ film from 1960. This was made for a Motion Graphics assignment at Massey University, June 2009. Music by Henry Mancini.
